Jonathan Hagmaier - Chairman & CEO
Jonathan Hagmaier, along with Matt Muller and Mary Hagmaier, founded Interactive Achievement in 2006 to fill the needs for effective tools for teachers and administrators to monitor student progress.  He envisioned programs that are proficient and maximize student success.  Jonathan has over sixteen years of experience in public education as a teacher and principal, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history/government, as well as, a master’s degree in educational leadership. Jonathan provides insight as both an educator and administrator to ensure that IA reaches its educational goals through both software and service.


Russ Ellis- Director
Russ has been a provider of commercial technology solutions for over 25 years.  He was the founder and CEO of Data Systems Consulting Inc. and is currently the president of Xcellos Corporation of Roanoke. Russ currently serves his community through a variety of board positions for non-profit and civic organizations, including The NCTC, The Virginia Western Educational Foundation, The Taubman Museum of Art, The Foundation for the Roanoke Valley, The Roanoke Foundation for Downtown, and The Roanoke Valley Governor’s School Foundation.


Ken Ferris- Director
With an outstanding foundation from Virginia Tech, Ken has gone on to be a founding team member of three prominent technology start-up companies.  These companies include Millennia Systems, where he served as the president, and Luna iMonitoring where he was CEO.  Ken is currently the COO of Wireless MedCARE and has 40 years of experience in engineering, operations, and business management.  Ken serves his community through several boards and was a founding member of the Blue Ridge Women’s Center.



Leon Harris- Director
Leon graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering.  He is currently the president of Keltech Inc.  He also served as the president of Tele-Path Instruments, a designer and manufacturer of digital test equipment, from 1983-1998.  Leon has experience serving on many boards including the Taubman Museum of Art, Wachovia Bank, Virginia School Boards Association, Patrick County Education Foundation, the Waynesboro School Board, and many more.  He also served our country as a member of the United States Army.


Dr. Linda Petrie- Director
Linda received her Doctor of Education in administration and supervision of special education from Virginia Tech.  She is most notably a former director of instruction for Floyd County Public Schools, with over 30 years of public education experience.  Linda has served as a member of numerous statewide education committees and serves as a faculty member for the University of Virginia graduate education program.




Janie Whitlow- Director
Janie is the founder and owner of The Real Estate Group, a 32 employee real estate firm, as well as The Real Estate School.  This school helps realtors receive the education they need to be successful in the real estate business.  Additionally, Janie has served on housing committees at the state and local level.  In the Roanoke Valley, she founded The Community Christmas Store which serves over 1,000 underprivileged working families each year for Christmas.
